A place to call my own...

Fri Mar 6, 2009, 10:40 PM
Well, after several months of splitting a room with a buddy while working here in SF... I have, FINALLY, gotten my own room! :D About a month ago my friend whom I was staying with, another friend of his, and I got a new apartment together. We moved out to the Presidio which is pretty much a park on the Northern edge of the city. Its right across the road from baker's beach and very near the golden gate bridge... heck, I can hear the ocean through my window :) Sadly though I am no longer walking distance from work, but I am within biking distance or a hellish but rather short car commute (without traffic only 15 mins, with traffic about 35 :/ )

Anyway, upsides and downs... but overall a big step up and still nice and affordable (well, by SF standards anyway!!). Well, that's what's new with me these days... nothing too exciting really :XD:

  • Mood: Pirate
  • Listening to: Electric Feel by MGMT
  • Reading: Wolf
  • Watching: Eureka Seven (again)
  • Drinking: Fat Tire (on tap in my living room)

Well, you were complaining about not using your bike enough... seriously, driving in cities sucks.

Awesome mate, any photos?

Hey, that's great Dave! That's a nice area I seem to remember. How on earth do you ride you're bike around here though. The streets are so steep!

Yay. Own rooms have their own charm in a way. XD Congratz ^^

Someday I'll move to SF and visit you. Hopefully I won't have to sher the room with someone else (I don't like it much)

Yeah, having space you can call your own is really key! Ah, living by the ocean is great... well, when the weather is nice at least (its scary when the weather is bad!! :XD: )

That would be so cool! :D The city is crazy expensive though, so splitting a room is one way to make it cheaper... but its really not fun to be sharing such a small space like that!
